Percoche peaches

Percoche are a variety of peaches known for their particularly firm flesh and adherent to the core. These peaches are distinguished from traditional peaches, which generally have a softer pulp and are easily detached from the core (nectarines).

The percoche have a round shape, with a velvety skin that varies in color from yellow to orange, often with shades of red. Their flesh is juicy, sweet and aromatic, offering a rich and concentrated flavor typical of peaches, but with a firmer and crunchy texture.

These peaches are particularly appreciated for their versatility in the kitchen. Thanks to their firm pulp, the percoche retain their shape and consistency well during cooking, making them excellent for grilling, roasting, or used in cakes, tarts and other sweet preparations. They are also delicious when eaten fresh.

From a nutritional point of view, like other peaches, percoche are a good source of vitamin C, B vitamins, fiber and potassium. They are also rich in natural antioxidants, such as carotenoids and phenolic compounds.

Percoche are available during the summer months and are appreciated for their distinctive flavor and texture that differentiates them from traditional peaches.
