Water-melons

Watermelon is a great summer fruit, known for its juicy and sweet pulp. It has an oval or spherical shape and a green skin, often streaked or spotted, which hides a bright red pulp inside. This pulp is rich in water (about 92%), making watermelon particularly refreshing on hot days. It is also a source of vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium and other antioxidants, such as lycopene, responsible for its characteristic red color.

Watermelons can vary greatly in size, with some weighing up to several kilograms. Inside the pulp are also found black, white or yellow seeds, although there are varieties of watermelon without seeds. The taste is sweet and slightly grainy, and watermelon is often eaten fresh, in fruit salads, smoothies or as juice. It is also a popular fruit in summer holidays and picnics, appreciated for its ability to hydrate and refresh.
