Navel Orange

Navel orange is a sweet orange variety, renowned for its quality and flavor. This variety is easily recognizable for the presence of a sort of “navel” (hence the name “Navel”, which in English means navel) at the end opposite to the petiole. This “navel” is actually a second smaller orange, grown inside the larger one.

Navel oranges have a thick, bright orange skin, which makes them easy to peel. Their pulp is juicy, sweet and seedless, characteristics that make them particularly appreciated for fresh consumption. These oranges are generally larger than other varieties and have a firm consistency, making them ideal for being squeezed or eaten in wedges.

Navel oranges are rich in vitamin C, fiber and several important nutrients, making them a great choice for a healthy diet. They are a winter fruit and are grown in different parts of the world, becoming a staple food in homes during the cold season.
