Flat peaches

Flat peaches, also known as saturn peaches or disc peaches, are a unique variety of peaches characterized by their unusually flat shape and flattened central shell. These peaches are often smaller than traditional peaches and have a velvety skin that varies from yellow to red.

The pulp of the flat peaches can be white or yellow, depending on the variety, and it is known that it is sweet, juicy and aromatic intense, with a slight acidic note. Their texture is usually softer and juicy than traditional round peaches. In addition, the pulp easily detaches from the core, making them very comfortable to eat.

From a nutritional point of view, flat peaches offer similar benefits as traditional peaches. They are a good source of vitamins, especially vitamin C and vitamin A, and also contain fiber and antioxidants.

Flat peaches have become popular for their distinctive appearance and delicious taste. They are great to eat alone as snacks, but can also be used in fruit salads, desserts and even in savory dishes. Their harvest season is typically in summer, in line with that of traditional peaches.

Their unique shape and sweet taste have made them a beloved and sought after fruit in many markets, adding variety and a touch of novelty to the category of peaches.
